Vioxx Victims represents those people who claim that they have been affected from the effects of taking the drug Vioxx. It is supported by the law firms who represent them.
The group believes that the compensating of victims through a fund created by the makers of the drug Merck & Co is unjust as it compensates only US victims.
The group believes this is practice is discriminatory and calls on the Government to take measures to prevent large corporations making millions of pounds worth of profit in the UK and not adequately safeguarding the consumers in that country.
The group also asks the Government to consider how much the reported side effects of this drug have, and continues to, cost the NHS and the UK taxpayer.
